Instagram

Approach

Initial content plan & strategies:

Combination of:

  1. Artist feature posts (carousel with artwork display)
  2. These are in collaboration with artists (collaborative posts)
  3. Brand aesthetic post (with Q&P font)
  4. Cards display

Feed inspiration from IG accounts:

Instagram Stories:

  • Answer FAQs
  • Behind the scenes content
  • Aesthetic posts
  • Promotional graphics

Best practices (or “caveats”)

Sarah’s suggestions:

  • Align brand image with website (ex: dark moody match with dark moody)
  • People love behind the scenes content
  • Show time lapse video of artist creating art or process of unique art
  • Moodboard and match it with artist feature
  • Have content buckets (artist features, color moodboard)
  • 3-5x a week posting → ideal (just make sure it’s consistent)
  • Carousel → (1) artist picture, (2) beautiful artwork, (3) etc

Other Social Media

  • Facebook
  • Pinterest
  • Tik Tok
  • Discord
  • Linkedin
  • Threads
  • WhatsApp

Newsletter

Approach

  • Send out emails 1-2x per month
  • Newsletters are opportunities to share news & information with current fans of the brand

Best practices (or “caveats”)

Sarah’s suggestions:

  • Schedule newsletters around holidays
  • i.e., “now’s the time to schedule Mother’s Day cards!” or “last chance for Valentine’s Day!”
  • Send out newsletters to announce artist collaborations
  • Newsletters contain shorter content than blogs (more visuals)

Instagram Notes

Stories are posts that are more casual - maybe FAQs, and other content that you don’t want to drown your feed with

Artist features may have an alternate version
