Artist Highlights
Jamie Wing
Jaime is a fine artist, printmaker and graphic designer based in Portland, Maine. He is a member of Pickwick Independent Press. “The printmaking process allows me to let go of control and cherish the beauty of imperfection. There is something about non-digital production in a society such as ours that feels “real” and connects us to ourselves. I’m interested in the use of reclaimed and recycled materials, abstractions of and around the human figure, nature and identity.”Jaime specializes in highly limited editions of wood block prints, letterpress and monoprints.

Lin Snow
Lin Snow is an artist/Illustrator based out of Maine. She graduated from Maine College of Art & Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration. Her work often includes nature while exploring scientific subject matter; with goals to learn and teach throughout her art and process. Lin utilizes life references as often as possible, much like historic botanical artists. Using science, biology, and ecology she submerges viewers in the unknown science of the natural world that we all live in. She creates in a wide range of mediums but has been working mostly with gouache paint and ink recently.

Mark Malinowski
I loved to draw at an early age and now have been inspired to create art that reflects the beauty of the world around me. Having fallen in love with oil painting during the pandemic, I have had the opportunity to study with noted artists Susan Abbott, Howard Freidland and Laura Tryon Jennings. I am currently a juried member of the Saltwater Artists Gallery in New Harbor, Maine.

Elizabeth Palmer
Elizabeth wants to turn her viewers on to the incredible beauty in not only the natural world, but in the multi-shaped, multi-colored man-made objects, which are used in everyday living. When we learn to see our world filled with beauty, our lives are transformed. If Ms. Palmer can inspire at least one person to look at something differently, then she will have succeeded as an artist.

Deena S Ball
When I choose to paint a scene, it’s often the play of light across the landscape that inspires me. The broad vistas and clear north light captivate me. If it’s a scene from the Maine coast, I’m interested in how light and shadow interact with the jagged rocks, contrasted with the perpetual shimmer of the moving ocean.

Erin McGee Ferrell
Erin McGee Ferrell is an internationally celebrated artist renowned for her innovative fusion of classical oil painting techniques with cutting-edge technology. Ferrell’s work gained global recognition following her solo exhibition in Bahrain during the esteemed Annual Spring of Culture, where she showcased a captivating series of paintings inspired by two years at the Formula 1 Grand Prix. In February 2024, Ferrell further distinguished herself as a speaker in Saudi Arabia, representing the US State Department on the integration of AI and art in non-artistic domains. As an educator, Ferrell has imparted her knowledge and skills to students at The University of New England in Maine for the past four years. Her academic background is as diverse as her artistic practice, holding degrees from Mount Holyoke College and the University of the Arts Philadelphia, and further enriched by studies at Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts, Maine College of Art, the Art Students League of NYC, and the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Ferrell’s work not only traverses geographic boundaries but also blurs the lines between traditional art forms and modern technological advancements, making her a pivotal figure in the contemporary art world.
